PART IIIDescription of Each Approach Surface

Being a surface abutting each end of the strips associated with runways 06-24, 10-28 and 14-32 and more particularly described as follows:

  • (a) a surface abutting the end of the strip associated with runways 10-28 and 14-32 consisting of an inclined plane having a ratio of one (1) metre measured vertically to fifty (50) metres measured horizontally and having:

    • (i) the outer ends 14 and 28 rising to an imaginary horizontal line drawn at right angles to the projected centre line of the strip, 60.96 metres measured vertically above the elevation at the end of the strip and 3 047.90 metres measured horizontally from the end of strip 14 and 3 047.95 metres measured horizontally from the end of strip 28, the outer ends of the imaginary horizontal line being 609.6 metres from the projected centre line of the strip, and

    • (ii) the outer ends 10 and 32 rising to an imaginary horizontal line drawn at right angles to the projected centre line of the strip, 304.8 metres measured vertically above the elevation at the end of the strip and 15 239.25 metres measured horizontally from the end of strip 10 and 15 239.76 metres measured horizontally from the end of strip 32, the outer ends of the imaginary horizontal line being 2 438.28 metres from the projected centre line of strip 10 and 2 438.25 metres from the projected centre line of strip 32, and

  • (b) a surface abutting the end of the strip associated with runway 06-24 consisting of an inclined plane having a ratio of one (1) metre measured vertically to forty (40) metres measured horizontally rising to an imaginary horizontal line drawn at right angles to the projected centre line of the strip, 76.2 metres measured vertically above the elevation at the end of the strip and 3 047.90 metres measured horizontally from the end of the strip, the outer ends of the imaginary horizontal line being 381.0 metres from the projected centre line of the strip,

which approach surfaces are shown on Department of Public Works Plan No. M-77-4400, dated the 7th day of March, 1978.

PART IVDescription of the Outer Surface

Being an imaginary surface consisting of:

  • (a) a common plane established at a constant elevation of 45.72 metres above the assigned elevation of the airport reference point, and

  • (b) where the common plane described in paragraph (a) is less than 9.144 metres above the surface of the ground, an imaginary surface located 9.144 metres above the surface of the ground,

which outer surface is shown on Department of Public Works Plan No. M-77-4400, dated the 7th day of March, 1978.

PART VDescription of Each Strip

Each strip is described as follows:

  • (a) the strip associated with runway 10-28 is 304.8 metres in width, 152.4 metres on each side of the centre line of the runway and 2 560.32 metres in length,

  • (b) the strip associated with runway 14-32 is 304.8 metres in width, 152.4 metres on each side of the centre line of the runway and 2 255.52 metres in length, and

  • (c) the strip associated with runway 06-24 is 152.4 metres in width, 76.2 metres on each side of the centre line of the runway and 1 919.08 metres in length,

which strips are shown on Department of Public Works Plan No. M-77-4400, dated on the 7th day of March, 1978.

PART VIDescription of Each Transitional Surface

Being a surface consisting of an inclined plane having a ratio of one (1) metre measured vertically to seven (7) metres measured horizontally at right angles to the centre line and centre line produced of the strip, and extending upward and outward from the lateral limits of the strip and its approach surfaces to an intersection with the outer surface, an approach surface or another transitional surface of an adjoining strip, which surfaces are shown on Department of Public Works Plan No. M-77-4400, dated the 7th day of March, 1978.
