Whereas, pursuant to paragraph 4(1)(d) of the Employment Equity ActFootnote a, the Treasury Board has consulted the Minister of Labour and the Minister of National Defence concerning the application of that Act to the Canadian Forces;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Treasury Board, and the Minister of Labour, pursuant to paragraph 4(1)(d) of the Employment Equity Acta, hereby specifies that the Canadian Forces are a portion of the public sector employing one hundred or more employees for the purpose of subsection 4(1) of that Act.
