Order Respecting the Remission of the Fee in Respect of an Application for a Certificate of Citizenship by a Citizen Who Has Been Invited by a Club or Organization to Take Part in a Ceremony for the Promotion of Citizenship

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, considering that it is in the public interest, is pleased hereby, on the recommendation of the Secretary of State and the Treasury Board and pursuant to section 17Footnote * of the Financial Administration Act, to revoke Order in Council P.C. 1980-6/304 of 25th January, 1980Footnote ** and to make the annexed Order respecting the remission of the fee in respect of an application for a certificate of citizenship by a citizen who has been invited by a club or organization to take part in a ceremony for the promotion of citizenship.

Short Title

1 This Order may be cited as the Remission of Application Fee for Certificate of Citizenship Order.

Remission

2 Remission is hereby granted of the fee paid or payable under section 32 of the Citizenship Regulations in respect of an application for a certificate of citizenship under section 10 of the said Regulations by or on behalf of a citizen who is a minor or by a citizen who has attained the age of 18 years where that citizen has been invited by a club or an organization to take part in a ceremony for the promotion of citizenship.
