His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Treasury Board, pursuant to section 10.1Footnote * of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade ActFootnote **, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Regulations prescribing the travel documents for which fees are payable and the amount of those fees, with a view to the recovery of costs of providing consular services.

Short Title
1 These Regulations may be cited as the Consular Services Fees Regulations.
Interpretation
2 In these Regulations,
- travel document
travel document means any of the following documents that are issued by the Minister for travel purposes:
(a) a passport issued pursuant to the Canadian Passport Order;
(b) a certificate of identity; and
(c) refugee travel papers. (document de voyage)
Fee
3 A travel document is subject to the payment of the fee set out in section 4.
4 The fee for a travel document that is issued to a person of at least 16 years of age is $25 and shall be paid when the application for the document is made.
