Quebec Fishery Regulations, 1990

Version of section 45 from 2006-03-22 to 2009-03-31:

  •  (1) Subject to subsection (2), the holder of a licence set out in column I of any of paragraphs 1(a) to (c) and (e) to (g) of Part I of Schedule XXVII may catch and retain whitefish using a lift net or landing net in the following waters during the following periods:

    • (a) that part of the Touladi River between the upstream side of à Mac Brook and Témiscouata Lake in Area 2, from the Monday preceding the day appointed as Thanksgiving Day for a period of 14 days; and

    • (b) that part of the Saint-François River between Aylmer Lake in Frontenac and Mégantic-Compton counties and the second bridge upstream, from October 25 to November 7.

    • (c) and (d) [Repealed, SOR/97-203, s. 14]

  • (2) No person who is fishing in accordance with subsection (1) shall catch and retain in any one day more than

    • (a) 72 whitefish from the Touladi River; and

    • (b) 10 whitefish from any waters set out in paragraph (1)(b).
