34 For the purpose of section 14.1 of the Act, a contributor may make an election to reduce the amount of the contributor’s annuity or annual allowance not later than one year after the latest of

• (a) the day on which this section comes into force,

• (b) the day on which the contributor and the spouse are married, and

• (c) the day on which the contributor’s annuity or annual allowance becomes payable.
