14 Subject to section 15, where a contributor has exercised an option under section 11 or 12 of the Act, or has been deemed to have exercised an option under subsection 9(4) of the Act, he may, with the consent of the Minister, revoke the option and exercise a new option if the contributor received from a member of the Force or a person employed in the Public Service who normally gives information as to the benefits in respect of which the contributor may be entitled to exercise an option on ceasing to be a member of the Force erroneous or misleading information in respect of

• (a) the amount, nature or type of any such benefit; or

• (b) the procedures required to be followed to constitute a valid exercise of an option.
