1 This Act may be cited as the Public Health Events of National Concern Payments Act.

2 Subject to section 3, there may be paid out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, on the requisition of a federal minister and with the concurrence of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Health obtained no later than September 30, 2020, all money required to do anything in relation to the measures specified in the schedule in respect of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which has been determined by the Minister of Health to be a public health event of national concern.

3 The total of all payments made under section 2 after September 30, 2020, in respect of a measure specified in the schedule, must not exceed the amount specified in the schedule for that measure.
