Marginal note:Status of governors, officers, employees and agents

• 23 (1) Except as provided in subsections (2) and (3), the Chairman and President, the other governors and officers and the employees and agents of the Centre are not part of the public service of Canada.

• Marginal note:Superannuation

  (2) The President, the other officers and the employees of the Centre shall be deemed to be employed in the Public Service for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act.

• Marginal note:Compensation

  (3) The President, the other officers and the employees of the Centre shall be deemed to be employed in the public service of Canada for the purposes of the Government Employees Compensation Act and any regulations made under section 9 of the Aeronautics Act.

• Marginal note:Application of Public Service Superannuation Act to governors

  (4) The Public Service Superannuation Act does not apply to the Chairman or the other governors unless, in the case of any of them, the Governor in Council directs that it shall apply.
