His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, is pleased hereby to transfer, effective June 2, 1995, from the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development to the Minister of Finance the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development in respect of the administration of the Transfer Payments to the Territorial Governments Program referred to in Indian Affairs and Northern Development Vote 50 of Appropriation Act No. 1, 1995-96, chapter 10 of the Statutes of Canada 1995.
