Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby(a)pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, transfers from the President of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada to the Solicitor General of Canada, styled Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness the control and supervision of the portion of the public service known as the Office of Indian Residential Schools Resolution of Canada, and(b)orders that the Solicitor General of Canada, styled Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness shall preside over the Office of Indian Residential Schools Resolution of Canada,effective July 20, 2004.
