Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, hereby transfers from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans to the Department of Transport the control and supervision of those portions of the Directorate-General of Marine Programs that are responsible for policy related to pleasure craft safety, marine navigation services, pollution prevention and response, and navigable waters, effective December 12, 2003.
