AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS MARKETING ACTBritish Columbia Egg OrderOrder Granting Authority to Regulate the Marketing in Interprovincial and Export Trade of Eggs Produced in British ColumbiaShort TitleThis Order may be cited as the British Columbia Egg Order.InterpretationIn this Order,Act means the Natural Products Marketing (British Columbia) Act; (Loi)Commodity Board means the British Columbia Egg Marketing Board established pursuant to the Act; (Office de commercialisation)eggs means eggs of a domestic hen produced in British Columbia. (oeuf)Interprovincial and Export TradeThe Commodity Board is authorized to regulate the marketing of eggs in interprovincial and export trade and for such purposes may, by order, with respect to persons and property situated within the Province of British Columbia, exercise all or any powers like the powers exercisable by it in relation to the marketing of eggs locally within that Province under section 17 of the Act.LeviesThe Commodity Board is authorized[Revoked, SOR/80-90]in relation to the powers granted to it by section 3 with respect to the marketing of eggs in interprovincial and export trade,to make orders fixing, imposing and collecting levies or charges from persons situated within the Province of British Columbia who are engaged in the production or marketing of eggs and for such purposes classifying such persons into groups and fixing the levies or charges payable by the members of the different groups in different amounts and the Commodity Board may use such levies or charges for its purposes including the creation of reserves and the payment of expenses and losses resulting from the sale or disposal of eggs and equalization or adjustment among the producers of eggs of moneys realized from the sale thereof during such period or periods of time as it may determine.SOR/80-90
