SCHEDULE(Sections 2 and 3)

PART IDescription of the Airport Reference Point

The airport reference point shown on Baker Lake Airport Zoning Plan No. E.2670 dated August 24, 1988, is a point located on the centre line of runway 161-341 distant 640.0 m from the threshold of runway 341.

PART IIDescription of the Approach Surfaces

The approach surfaces, shown on Baker Lake Airport Zoning Plan No. E.2670, dated August 24, 1988, are surfaces abutting each end of the strip associated with the runway designated 161-341, and are described as follows:

  • (a) a surface abutting the end of the strip associated with runway approach 161 consisting of an inclined plane having a ratio of 1 m measured vertically to 40 m measured horizontally rising to an imaginary horizontal line drawn at right angles to the projected centre line of the strip and distant 3 000 m measured horizontally from the end of the strip; the outer ends of the imaginary horizontal line being 525 m from the projected centre line; said imaginary horizontal line being 75.0 m measured vertically above the elevation at the end of the strip; and

  • (b) a surface abutting the end of the strip associated with runway approach 341 consisting of an inclined plane having a ratio of 1 m measured vertically to 40 m measured horizontally rising to an imaginary horizontal line drawn at right angles to the projected centre line of the strip and distant 3 000 m measured horizontally from the end of the strip; the outer ends of the imaginary horizontal line being 525 m from the projected centre line; said imaginary horizontal line being 75.0 m measured vertically above the elevation at the end of the strip.

PART IIIDescription of the Outer Surface

The outer surface, shown on Baker Lake Airport Zoning Plan No. E.2670, dated August 24, 1988, is an imaginary surface located at a common plane established at a constant elevation of 45 m above the elevation of the airport reference point, except that, where that common plane is less than 9 m above the surface of the ground, the outer surface is an imaginary surface located at 9 m above the surface of the ground.

PART IVDescription of the Strip

The strip associated with runway 161-341, shown on Baker Lake Airport Zoning Plan No. E.2670 dated August 24, 1988, is 150 m in width, 75 m being on each side of the centre line of the runway and 1 400 m in length.

PART VDescription of Each Transitional Surface

Each transitional surface, shown on Baker Lake Airport Zoning Plan No. E.2670 dated August 24, 1988, is a surface consisting of an inclined plane rising at a ratio of 1 m measured vertically to 7 m measured horizontally at right angles to the centre line and projected centre line of the strip and extending upward and outward from the lateral limits of the strip and its approach surfaces to an intersection with the outer surface.

PART VIDescription of the Lands to Which These Regulations Apply

The boundary of the outer limits of lands, shown on Baker Lake Airport Zoning Plan No. E.2670 dated August 24, 1988, is described as follows:

COMMENCING at a point on the southeasterly boundary of Baker Lake Settlement, Plan 567 Yellowknife Land Titles Office, where it is intersected by the circumference of a circle having a radius of 4 000 metres and centered at the airport reference point as described in Part I of the schedule;

THENCE southeasterly following the circumference of the said circle clockwise to its intersection with the northeasterly boundary of Baker Lake Settlement, Plan 567 Yellowknife Land Titles;

THENCE southeasterly and southwesterly along the northeasterly and southeasterly limits of Plan 567 Yellowknife Land Titles Office, to its intersection with the northeasterly limit of Lot 1 000, Quad 66 A/8, Plan 1269 Yellowknife Land Titles;

THENCE northwesterly along the northeasterly limit of Lot 1 000, Quad 66 A/8 to the most northerly corner of said Lot 1 000, Quad 66 A/8;

THENCE southwesterly along the northwesterly limit of Lot 1 000, Quad 66 A/8 to the most westerly corner of said Lot 1 000, Quad 66 A/8;

THENCE southeasterly along the southwesterly limit of Lot 1 000, Quad 66 A/8 to its intersection with the southeasterly boundary of Baker Lake Settlement, Plan 567 Yellowknife Land Titles;

THENCE southwesterly along the southeasterly limit of Baker Lake Settlement, Plan 567 Yellowknife Land Titles, to the point of commencement.
