P.C. 1988-203 1988-02-04
Whereas the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission rendered Decision CRTC 87-921 on December 11, 1987, approving the application of Victoria Communications Limited for an amendment of its broadcasting licence for CKKQ-FM Victoria to permit the relocation of its transmitter site to a site near Mt. Work and to permit a decrease in the average effective radiated power from 84,000 watts to 44,000 watts;
Whereas subsequent to the rendering of Decision CRTC 87-921 the Governor in Council received petitions requesting that the said Decision be set aside or referred back to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission for reconsideration and hearing by the Commission;
And Whereas the Governor in Council, having considered the petitions, is of the opinion that it is not in the public interest to set aside or to refer back to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission for reconsideration and hearing by the Commission the said Decision CRTC 87-921.
Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Communications, pursuant to section 23 of the Broadcasting Act, hereby declines to set aside or to refer back to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission for reconsideration and hearing Decision CRTC 87-921 of December 11, 1987.
