TAITDeputy Attorney GeneralA ProclamationWhereas, pursuant to section 4 of the Visiting Forces Act, being chapter V-2 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, the Governor in Council may, by proclamation:designate any country as a designated state for the purposes of this Act; anddeclare the extent to which this Act is applicable in respect of any designated state;And Whereas, by Order in Council P.C. 1993-918 of May 4, 1993, the Governor in Council directed that a proclamation do issuedesignating the Czech Republic, the Republic of Hungary, the Republic of Poland, the Slovak Republic and Ukraine as designated states for the purposes of the Visiting Forces Act; anddeclaring that the Visiting Forces Act applies, with the exception of Part VI thereof, to all the above designated states;Now Know You that We, by and with the advice of Our Privy Council for Canada, do by this Our Proclamation,designate the Czech Republic, the Republic of Hungary, the Republic of Poland, the Slovak Republic and Ukraine as designated states for the purposes of the Visiting Forces Act; anddeclare that the Visiting Forces Act applies, with the exception of Part VI thereof, to all the above designated states.Of All Which Our Loving Subjects and all others whom these Presents may concern are hereby required to take notice and to govern themselves accordingly.In Testimony Whereof, We have caused these Our Letters to be made Patent and the Great Seal of Canada to be hereunto affixed.
