B-9.01Broadcasting ActSI/84-14520130128200563BROADCASTING ACTOrder Declining to Set Aside or to Refer Back to the CRTC a Decision Issuing a Broadcasting Licence to Chinavision Canada CorporationP.C.1984-26251984718Whereas the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission rendered Decision CRTC 84-445 on May 24, 1984 issuing a broadcasting licence to Chinavision Canada Corporation;Whereas, subsequent to the rendering of Decision CRTC 84-445, the Governor in Council has received a petition from Wah Shing Television Limited and partners requesting that the said Decision CRTC 84-445 be set aside or referred back to the Commission for reconsideration and hearing by the Commission, and has considered this petition;And Whereas the Governor in Council is of the opinion that it is not in the public interest to set aside or to refer back to the Commission for reconsideration and hearing by the Commission the said Decision CRTC 84-445.Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Communications, pursuant to section 23 of the Broadcasting Act, hereby declines to set aside or to refer back to the Commission for reconsideration and hearing by the Commission Decision CRTC 84-445 of May 24, 1984.
